I had an appointment with Mr Tom Barbe at his office at 17:00h. After finishing the official things I just asked him if I can visit the lab? he gave me the address and a little direction about how to reach the Rega Institute at Minderbroedersstraat 10 from Parizstraat 72b, 3000 Leuven.
I had no idea about the structure of the building, Yet I tried to reach Prof. Piet’s office. I entered the building and went straight to a lab on 1st floor and asked the people there, about the lab of Dr Piet Herdewijn.
I was told that his lab is on 2nd floor. On 2nd floor I was reading the name plates on the doors to find his office. suddenly I saw 2 Indian guys in a lab, one was Mohitosh (West Bengal), whom I had contacted through orkut and the other one Kishore (Andhra Pradesh). We found that Prof. Piet and his secretary Mrs Chantal had already left the office. Mohitosh took me around the labs, and introduced to Prof. Arthur.
I met another Indian Post Doc there Dr Shrinivas Dumbre (Maharashtra), Later Mohitosh took me to his room, we discussed lots of science and had dinner together (Chhole- Chawal). I left his room to youth hostel around 22:30h, it was not yet dark outside.
